Eaton’s AER Aerospace Group division is currently seeking a Senior Government Accounting Compliance Analyst.
This is an onsite role that can be based out of Irvine, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Davenport, IA; Beltsville, MD; Jackson, MI; Jackson, MS; Orchard Park, NY; Beachwood, OH; Fort Worth, TX or an approved Eaton aerospace location.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $88499.

Under limited supervision, Senior Government Accountant will be responsible for leading following processes: a) development of the forward pricing rate and incurred cost proposals in compliance with applicable government accounting regulations and standards, b) managing and supporting internal and external DCAA and DCMA audits related to forward pricing rate and incurred cost proposals, business systems, and CAS and other compliance areas as needed.
In addition, the role will be responsible for supporting CAS Disclosure Statements update, conducting compliance self-assessments and assist management with closing gaps through development and implementation of the corrective action plans; providing compliance training on government accounting-related requirements to other Eaton Aerospace employees and may lead and work on special cross functional, process improvement and internal compliance assessment projects.
What you’ll do: Review and maintain established site-level adequate accounting practices, procedures, work instructions, related internal controls, and ensure compliance with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS), US Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and other Business Systems requirements.
Support the establishment and maintenance of US Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Disclosure Statements and assist management with cost impact analysis when needed.
With limited management supervision lead development of the forward pricing, provisional billing rates and incurred costs claims, as applicable.
Monitor cost allowability and ensure that unallowable costs properly identified, segregated and removed form claimed costs in the FPR and ICS proposals and billings.
Work closely with accounting and pricing staff to ensure that FPR and ICS proposals and contract proposals utilize current, accurate and complete cost or pricing data.
Manage and support government DCAA and DCMA audits and inquiry matters.
Maintain effective records to support Government audits.
Assist management with annual compliance risk assessment, compliance monitoring programs development and conduct routine compliance self-assessments as needed.
Monitor and report to the Management on internal control gaps and associated corrective action plans.
Developing and delivering training programs to employees from various functions to assure that company personnel have the job knowledge to fulfill obligations imposed by U.

Government Contract accounting and business system requirements.
Assist management with development and implementation of the new ERPs, financial and indirect rate systems development.
Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution.
Minimum of five (5) years of government accounting/finance experience within the Aerospace or Defense industry.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the aforementioned facilities will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications: Thorough understanding of fundamental requirements of FAR Part 30 &31, CAS 401,402, 405, 406, 418, 410 and 420.
Tangible working experience with government contract billings, forward pricing bid rate/pricing and ICS proposal development.
Working knowledge of advanced accounting and ERP systems, e.
g.
, SAP and Oracle.
