Position: Youth Development Professional- Elementary in Hudson
Basic Description: Responsible for implementing targeted, evidenced- based, programs, activities, and special events.
Specific focus will be given to elementary members at this Club site.
Mission: Enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Location: Hudson Club
Hourly Role: Monday through Friday, approximately 2:15 pm- 6:15 pm
Reports to: Director of Club Operations

Primary Responsibilities:
• Position yourself in program area to actively supervise assigned area, volunteers, and members to ensure health and safety of all individuals
• Assist in the development and implementation of programs to stimulate interest and participation in a variety of social, physical, and educational activities
• Facilitate developmentally appropriate, engaging, and fun educational programming
• Effectively work as a team with other Youth Development Professionals and Club staff
• Responsible for walking members from the Elementary school to the Clubhouse daily, in various weather conditions
• Conduct frequent program outcome evaluations, in collaboration with direct supervisor
• Collect and maintain current records of all program area data
• Responsible for knowing and executing all Club emergency procedures, as appropriate
• Help members resolve conflict using de-escalation strategies
• Provide guidance to members in making appropriate choices about their education, personal, physical, social, emotional, and vocational needs
• Assist with program activities, and Club-wide special events
• Maintains a safe and clean environment, while keeping a continual inventory of room supplies, reporting on any condition issues
• Clearly communicate through written and verbal reports, as needed
• Participate in ongoing training related to safety and positive youth development practices
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Proven ability to establish relationships within the organization that will enhance the care given to youth and families.
• Ability to work scheduled hours
• Ability to effectively operate a computer and programs used by the organization and collaborative partners.
• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication needs
• Ability to adapt to day to day needs of the organization
• Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and conduct work with minimal direct supervision
• Ability to work in a team based, diverse environment
• Work is organized and completed in a timely manner
• A working knowledge of Club operations, policies, and events is developed, acquired, and maintained
