Position: Fitness and Wellness Manager
Classification: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt
Reports to: Centre Director
General Description
At the Christian Family Centre, we are committed to glorifying Jesus Christ and fostering life transformations through our fitness and wellness services.
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals who share this vision to join our team.
The Fitness and Wellness Manager will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and oversight to all aspects of our Fitness and Wellness Department, including fitness classes, programs, personal training, specialized fitness areas, and wellness group services.
This position involves regular interaction with members and guests through personal training sessions and exercise classes.
Program Management
Oversee all personal training, fitness classes/programs, and wellness education initiatives, enhancing membership value and exemplifying good stewardship.
Leads spiritual development within all programs.
Monitor class and program attendance consistently, taking proactive measures as necessary.
Lead and mentor all instructors, personal trainers, and fitness and wellness staff, offering training opportunities to help them grow both professionally and spiritually.
Ensures 360° Assessments are performed following the procedures outlined by Wellness Team.
Develop activity-focused programs or classes (such as fitness challenges, seasonal programs) tailored to engage various population segments, ensuring a dynamic, safe, and suitable experience for their current health levels.
Regularly instructs classes, programs, and personal training sessions.
Manage budgets effectively, taking necessary actions to achieve goals and objectives.
Sales & Marketing
Collaborate with the marketing team and Centre leadership to execute targeted wellness sales and promotions.
Actively contribute to retention strategies aimed at fostering Centre membership growth and expansion.
Reporting
Provides weekly operational and attendance reports to Centre Operations Director.
Stay abreast of the latest models and resources in the ever-evolving field of wellness.
Conduct research within our community to identify health challenges and barriers, devising strategies to enhance health outcomes in these areas.
Miscellaneous
Serve as the on-duty supervisor as required.
Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology with an emphasis in wellness.
Personal Training Certification from a nationally accredited organization (ACSM, NSCA, ACE, NASM, etc.
).
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while performing above tasks effectively.
Physical fitness and endurance to lead fitness classes and training sessions.
Ability to handle various situations in a healthy and God-honoring way.
