Atlas is opening in Brooklyn, MI this summer and we're looking for a strong hands-on leader with a track record of success to lead our team.
Here are some quick basics about Atlas and Brooklyn: We're a full-service restaurant and bar with a grab'n'go retail market space for food, wine, and beer to go.
We're located right in the center of Downtown Brooklyn.
Brooklyn is kind of like a smaller version of Chelsea but with more lakes and no famous actors (yet).
Atlas will be the first restaurant to bring a chef-driven menu featuring global flavors to Brooklyn.
We're building the nicest dining room and bar you'll find anywhere this side of Ann Arbor.
We're not just trying to open a restaurant.
We're creating something that's going to be \*the\* place to go for Brooklyn and the entire surrounding region.

Here are some of the things we're looking for in our GM: * Strong background in full-service restaurant/bar operations with at least 2 years of front-of-house management experience * Bonus points if you've got experience with opening new restaurants * Skilled at staff training and development * Great communication and organizational skills are a must * Calm under pressure, good at multi-tasking, comfortable in a fast-paced environment These core skills and competencies will account for 49% of your aptitude for this role.
The other 51% comes from soft skills -- things that are harder to measure, and even harder to teach.
Things like warmth, optimism, curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
In other words, it's not just what you know and what you can do, but who you are and how you do it.
I could probably fill a couple pages with more stuff about us, the background of this project, and what our goals are with Atlas and the Brooklyn area, but first I'd like to hear from you.
