Industrial Manufacturing Company seeking dedicated employees for hand welding production in Albion, MI.
1-year MIG or TIG welding preferred.
*Essential Functions*
* Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
* Perform MIG, TIG and other types of weld based on project needs
* Perform or assist in tasks related to welding such as fit-up, preparation, repair, loading parts into jig/fixture.
* De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Must be 18 or older.
* Fast paced.
*Skills/qualifications*
* Reading blueprints
* Calculating exact dimensions
* Using torches and arcs to weld various pieces of metal together
* Operating a wide range of welding equipment depending on each job situation
* Analyzing their equipment and taking appropriate measures in case they discover any defects
* Monitoring various welding processes
* The ability to cut with precision
* The knowledge and disposition to constantly inspect all materials
* The ability to respect safety guidelines and procedures
*Work Environment/Physical Demands*
This job operates in a manufacturing shop environment.
Exposure to noise, chemicals, and materials consistent with a manufacturing environment is constant.
Exposure to intense light, heat, and chemicals related to welding.
This is a physically demanding position; maintaining the physical strength to lift materials up to 50 pounds, endure prolonged standing, dexterity, and stamina is necessary.
Exposure to intense heat, and intense light created by the welding & cutting.
*Position Type/Expected Hours of Work*
This is a full-time position.
This position is assigned to day shift.
Overtime work may be required as job duties demand.
