*Job Functions*
Take care of engineering department duties including design, research, engineering documentation and process improvements.
Responsible for turning ideas for products into functional prototypes using efficient and affordable processes.
*Essential Functions*
* Uses SolidWorks to develop designs.
* Creates and revises production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).
* Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
* Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, production methods, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete designs and drawings.
* Drafts detailed multi-view drawings of designs
* Models and draws finished designs from sketches, 2D concepts, written requirements or verbal requirements.
* Updates Drafting and Engineering Standards.
* Maintains an organized file system for production drawings, design information, and detailed information about the project.
* Converts existing production drawings to SolidWorks.
* Communicates with machinist, quality, engineering, and manufacturing\\production personnel regarding new and revised prints.
*Minimum Requirements*
* Proven experience of more than 3+ years in mechanical design *-OR- *Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or other related field
* Detailed knowledge of 3D CAD software and other similar software
* Good knowledge of metal fabrication and its processes
* Thoroughly understand current cutting tool technolog
* Good at scheduling and problem solving
