_*Process Engineer*_ *Department: *Engineering *Supervisor: *Engineering Manager *Classification: *Non-exempt *About the Position:* The Process Engineer is responsible for creating a setup of new processes from trial through production and modifying problem situations on existing parts.
*Core Expectation:* Create effective systems and processes that optimize the production process for parts running at Team 1.
*Essential Functions:* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
* Develop and implement systems that optimize the production process.
* Create innovative solutions for problem situations on existing parts.
* Setup and troubleshoot end-of-arm tooling.
* Participate and provide advice in corrective action and launch processes.
* Work with and provide direction to Process Technicians and Engineering Interns.
* Communicate with manufacturers and tech support regarding issues with equipment.
*Required Qualifications:* * High school diploma * Familiarity with injection molding.
* Strong working knowledge of computers and applications.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to program and make changes to robots.
* Ability to establish processing parameters for new molds.
* Experience reading blueprints and part drawings.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to properly use hand tools.
*Desired Qualifications:* * Bachelors degree in a technical field.
* Previous experience in plastics processing.
*Supervisory Responsibility:* This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
*Physical Requirements:* The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
* Frequent reaching with hands and arms.
* Frequent lifting, bending, and stooping while carrying a load.
* Ability to stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift.
* Ability to maneuver very heavy dies into a machine using a crane and properly tighten with a torque wrench.
* Ability to lift or maneuver 55 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.
00 - $73,000.
