Where the Chemistry Happens: This position is responsible for Process activities in the North American Region including scale up activities and portfolio optimization.
Position represents North America for all processes in global operations team(s).
Responsibilities include optimization of all processes within the manufacturing and operations for the region, ensuring the adequate progress of Management Of Change (MOC), product packaging support, product Scale-Up, pilot plant operations, and data in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) related to manufacturing process (in relationship with technical and production).
Formula for Success: Scale up process/ Localization and Transfer of production to NA Working closely with Technologies, Segment, Procurement, Supply Chain & Operations teams and local production team, support scaling up the production of newly developed products from laboratory to sites Coordinate and support the transfer/ localization of production of products from one region/ country to another working closely with the relevant stakeholders (Local sites, Technologies, Segment, Procurement, Supply Chain & Operations teams) Implementation of product portfolio optimization project Working closely with the relevant stakeholders globally, implement the localization of KEEP products in sites in NA.
Harmonize the product portfolio and packaging including supporting packaging creation and packaging launches.
Contract Manufacturing Coordinate the contract manufacturing process in NA in line with ECT procedure.
Production Process excellence Optimization of production costs including standardization and harmonization of BOM and optimization of manufacturing processes by respecting the global plant safety concept Identifies continuous optimization potential on basis of the process by Key Performance Indicators within NA region and ensures continuous improvement in process, cost, quality and production.
Ingredients for Success: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry / process engineering, industrial engineering or chemical engineer Several years (5 or more years) of experiences in chemical Production or Engineering Experience managing project and experience using and applying process improvement best practices /techniques and project management skills in a structured project environment.
Clear understanding of Supply Chain, Operations, Quality Assurance, Process Improvement, and Information Systems Good knowledges relating production processes as well as in the use of SAP.
Applies good knowledge of safety (EHS) behaviour and instructions concerning all activities on the manufacturing site and enforce the practice.
Applies basic economical knowledge to be able to improve the cost/benefit situation continuously.
English: fluent spoken and written.
