Material Handler

is in search of a Material Handler for
1st shift at our facility located at 4005 Morrill Road Jackson, MI
List of responsibilities for Material Handler:
Unload trucks, check in bar stock, match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute to production cells for machining.
Examine material received, verify material numbers, and check discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked material and/or improper/incomplete supporting paperwork.
Review production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
Expedite transfer of materials from stock area to production area.
Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to designated areas.
Sort and place bar stock on racks, shelves, or bins.
Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
