We are looking for: The Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete a project.
The Project Engineer works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements.
They will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
In addition, the Project Engineer will provide technical support to Operations personnel when needed.
In this role you will be responsible for: Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects at the fossil, biomass, wind, and/or solar generating stations.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure all technical aspects of the project are completed per the safety, scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
Build strong partnerships with business partners and obtain a solid understanding of their business goals.
Support the Agile project delivery cadence by helping balance team performance with tight deadlines.
Assist project management with the development of project schedules and budgets.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, regulatory requirements, performance standards, and specifications.
Develop and/or review engineering deliverables that detail plans and specifications for construction projects.
Develop technical specifications and bid documents for detailed engineering, engineered equipment, materials, and construction contracts.
Perform shop inspection visits, provide field engineering supervision, and support commissioning to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
Initiate appropriate corrective actions when necessary.
Provide engineering support for project development activities including feasibility studies, conceptual engineering design, and cost estimating.

Proficient in MS Office, with aptitude for learning new software Written and verbal communication skills Organizational skills and attention to detail Experience in the design, construction, or operation of fossil fuel or biomass generating stations.
Experience in the design, construction, or operation of solar fields, wind farms, or battery deployments.
Knowledge of building codes, permitting requirements, industry regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
Experience in reviewing designs to ensure compliance with applicable codes, constructability, and industry standards.
Experience in procurement of engineered material, equipment, and professional services.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
If candidate has degree from a non-ABET-accredited university, candidate must have a Professional Engineering license.
