Primary Purpose
Under close direction of more senior support representatives and supervision by supervisors or managers provides technical and service-related support on a range of technologies in one or more of the following information technology areas: system builds, application administration, network support, operating system support, printer support, implementation or user/client services.
Job Responsibilities
Performs routine aspects of Tier 1 technical support and assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic information technology principles, standards, systems, document control, department and company policies and procedures.
Logging and resolving or escalating all IT Service Desk tickets in a timely manner, using instructions that are usually detailed documented procedures and checklists in the performance of most responsibilities.
Little evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required.
Coordinate the installation, configuration and maintenance of local infrastructure such as; desktops, laptops, printers, plotters, hardware and smart devices.
Inform customers of planned and unplanned IT infrastructure events and changes which may impact their productivity.
Windows 10, MS Office Products, Antivirus and Malware Protection, BIOS, Firmware, Printer Components, Computer Components.
No unusual physical requirements.
Job frequently requires sitting, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.
Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting 75 pounds.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
Experience
No previous computer work experience.
IT demonstrated working knowledge of basic hardware and software products and problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
Education
Preferred
Associates or better in Information Technology
