Spring Arbor University is seeking an individual with teaching experience to help build our undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program.
The position will begin in August 2023 or January 2024.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The department of Mechanical Engineering at Spring Arbor University (SAU) invites applicants for a tenure-track position.
The Mechanical Engineering program plans to seek ABET accreditation for the Mechanical Engineering program in 2025.
Teaching duties include primarily engineering courses but may initially include teaching in other departments depending on the candidate’s qualifications.
Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate level, development of scholarly endeavors, innovative curriculum development, advising students, and serving on university committees.
Spring Arbor University is located on a beautiful campus in southern Michigan and is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Applicants must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
An earned Ph.
D.
is preferred.
Professional experience in the field of mechanical engineering is preferred, as is a successful record of teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about academic excellence and about preparing students to impact the world for Jesus Christ within the vocation of engineering.
SALARY and BENEFITS:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and other qualifications.

The expected teaching load is 24 credit hours with opportunities for overload.
